Daily Boat Rental: 2026 Prices and Private Day Trip Routes

Private day boat trips with swim stops in quiet bays, skippered boats and clear per-boat pricing. Tell us your date and group size and get a tailored quote the same day.

A daily boat rental is the most practical way to pack the best of the sea into a single day. You leave the harbour in the morning, spend midday swimming in a clear bay and return towards sunset. The boat belongs to you alone that day; the route, the swim stops and the pace follow your wishes. Do not confuse it with crowded shared tour boats: on a private day boat trip only your group is on deck, the music is your choice and no bay comes with a "time is up" rush.

As a TURSAB member agency based in Gocek, we know the boats in person, not just from photos. That is why we send a short list of options that genuinely fit your group, not a long catalogue. Beyond Gocek we organise departures from Fethiye, Bodrum and Marmaris with the same care.

Who Is a Day Rental For?

  • Families: Morning departures and plenty of swim time in shallow, calm bays. The route stays short so children spend more of the day in the water.
  • Groups of friends: Wide-deck boats for a day of music, swimming and bay hopping; for 10 to 12 guests, day boats with big sunbathing areas are ideal.
  • Couples: Boutique boats and decoration options for proposals, anniversaries and sunset programmes.
  • Company teams: Catered day programmes for corporate events and small team gatherings.
  • Holidaymakers: Quiet routes with strong views for guests who want to see road-inaccessible bays in one day.
  • First-time charterers: A day rental is the sensible first step before a full week. If you enjoy it, moving up to a weekly yacht charter in the same area is easy.

Daily Boat Rental Prices (2026)

The main factors behind the daily rate are the boat's type and length, the season, the capacity and the catering scope. As a guide:

  • Skippered day boat: 300 to 700 Euros (the most popular class for families and friend groups)
  • Motor yacht: 800 to 2,500 Euros (speed, comfort and more living space; in the luxury segment the upper limit rises with the yacht)

The key point: on a private day rental the price is per boat, not per person. Whether you are 4 or 10 people, the fee stays the same within the capacity, so the cost per person drops sharply as the group grows.

On skippered day rentals the skipper, fuel and standard route are included. Food and drinks vary: some boats include lunch, on others you bring provisions, and a barbecue or catering service can be added on request. Every quote lists the included and excluded items one by one, so no surprise cost appears on the day.

What moves the price up or down:

  • Season: July and August are the peak; in May, June, September and October the same boat is usually cheaper.
  • Boat size and age: Newer and larger boats sit at the top of the range.
  • Route length: The standard route is included; unusually long routes may need extra fuel, stated separately in the quote.
  • Extra services: Lunch packages, decoration, cake and photographer are priced on request.

Send your date, departure area and group size and we send the exact figure the same day.

How the Day Unfolds, Hour by Hour

The standard full day runs from 10 am to 6 pm. A typical day out of Gocek:

  • 9.45 am: Meeting at the harbour, settling on board and a short safety briefing.
  • 10.00 am: Departure. The cruise to the first bay takes 30 to 45 minutes, with tea and coffee served on the way.
  • 10.45 am: First swim stop. The bays are at their calmest and clearest in the morning.
  • 12.30 pm: Lunch at anchor in a quiet bay. If included, the crew prepares it; if you brought provisions, the galley and barbecue are yours.
  • 2.00 pm: Second bay, usually the longest stop for snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing.
  • 4.00 pm: Third and final bay for a shorter swim and the last photos.
  • 5.15 pm: Return cruise with the gulf view as the sun drops.
  • 6.00 pm: Arrival and farewell.

This flow is a template, not a rule. Love a bay, stay longer; skip a crowded spot for a quieter one. Your skipper suggests the best order based on wind and bay traffic.

Sample Day Routes

  • Gocek and the Twelve Islands: Yassica Islands, Cleopatra Baths, Bedri Rahmi Bay and Gobun Bay. Short distances mean most of the day is spent in the water; the gulf is closed to open sea swell, so the risk of seasickness is low. The most sheltered day trip area in Turkey. See boats departing from Gocek.
  • Fethiye: The Oludeniz coastline, Butterfly Valley and Gemiler Island. A scenery-first route; the Byzantine ruins on Gemiler are a favourite of history lovers. Browse boats in Fethiye.
  • Bodrum: The island channel, Kara Ada and Aquarium Bay, with crystal clear water for swimming and snorkelling. Choose from Bodrum boats.
  • Marmaris: The Kumlubuk, Turunc and Aquarium Bay line inside a sheltered gulf; a short shore stop in Turunc can be added. View Marmaris options.

Our suggestions are starting points; your skipper offers the best alternative for the day. To stay at sea for several days and sleep in the bays, see the overnight programmes on our Blue Cruise page.

Which Boat Type Suits a Day Trip?

  • Day boat: Built for day use, with wide decks, shade and easy ladder access to the water. The best balance of price and comfort for families and friend groups.
  • Motor yacht: Faster cruising means more bays in the same time, plus an air-conditioned saloon and modern interior. Motor yacht options can also be chartered by the day.
  • Gulet: Wooden character and a very wide deck, ideal for large groups and corporate events. Day-charter gulet options fill quickly in season; write early.
  • Sailing yacht and catamaran: A quieter day moved by the wind. The catamaran's twin hull reduces rolling; families with small children love that stability.

If you are undecided, tell us your group size and expectations; we send two or three suitable boats with photos.

Hourly or Full Day?

Hourly rental suits short celebrations, but after the harbour exit and return little time remains at sea; in two hours only one short stop is realistic. A full day of seven to eight hours lets you anchor in two or three bays and enjoy lunch and swimming without rushing. The price difference is usually smaller than expected: boat preparation and harbour operations cost the same in both formats, so the cost per hour drops clearly on a full day. Most of our guests choose the full day.

The formula in between is the sunset trip: afternoon departure, evening return. A short but striking window onto the sea, and the most requested format for proposals and photo shoots.

Special Occasions and Celebrations

A day on a boat lifts a celebration far above a restaurant booking. Our most frequent programmes:

Decoration, cake and photographer are priced separately from the rental fee and stated clearly in the quote. A few days before the trip we run a short planning call to settle the details.

What to Bring

No suitcase needed; a small beach bag is enough:

  • Swimwear and towel: Some boats provide towels, but bring your own to be safe.
  • Sun protection: High factor sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses; the sun at sea is much stronger than on land. A UV shirt for children.
  • Soft-soled shoes: Non-marking trainers or boat shoes; heels are not suitable. Barefoot on deck is also common.
  • A light layer: The breeze cools the return cruise; a cardigan or sweatshirt helps.
  • Waterproof phone pouch: Peace of mind for photos in the bays.
  • Seasickness remedy: A pharmacy remedy before the trip if you are sensitive; rarely needed on sheltered gulf routes.
  • Cash: Small businesses in some bays may not take cards.

If you plan to bring your own food and drinks, tell us at booking; we advise you based on the boat's fridge capacity.

Common Mistakes and Tips

From a team that has organised hundreds of day trips:

  1. Assuming the price is per person: It is per boat. The bigger the group, the lower the cost per person; friend groups joining on one boat is often the most economical choice.
  2. Looking only at the price: The boat's age, shade, bathroom condition and the skipper's local knowledge decide the quality of the day. Always ask for the scope list when comparing quotes.
  3. Leaving peak season to the last minute: July and August weekends fill first; write one to two weeks ahead.
  4. Planning the route minute by minute: The best days give the skipper flexibility to swap a crowded bay for a quiet one.
  5. Underestimating the sun: Reflection off the water burns fast; reapply sunscreen and use the shade at midday.
  6. Arriving late: Arriving 15 minutes early lets you start without stress.
  7. Forgetting the environment: Gocek is a special environmental protection area. Nothing goes into the sea; your skipper follows the anchoring and mooring buoy rules.

How Booking Works

  1. You send us your date, departure area and group size.
  2. We send two or three suitable boats with photos and exact prices.
  3. Once you choose, the booking is confirmed with a deposit.
  4. On the day, your skipper welcomes you at the harbour; your single point of contact throughout is us.

Reach us through the contact page or fill in the quote form. On WhatsApp we usually reply within 15 minutes during working hours. If one day will not be enough, the same team organises our weekly yacht charter and overnight Blue Cruise programmes.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a daily boat rental cost?

The price depends on the boat type, length, capacity and season. Skippered day boats usually run between 300 and 700 Euros, motor yachts between 800 and 2,500 Euros per day, and luxury yachts go higher. Send us your date and group size for a clear, itemised quote.

How long does a day charter last?

A standard day trip departs around 10 am and returns to the harbour around 6 pm. Sunset cruises and shorter half day options can also be arranged depending on the boat.

What is included in the price?

On skippered day charters the boat, skipper, fuel and standard route are usually included. Food and drinks vary by boat; some include lunch, on others catering is up to you. Every quote lists exactly what is included and what is not.

How many guests can join?

There is a suitable boat for every group, from a romantic trip for two up to families and friend groups of twelve. For larger groups we recommend spacious gulets and motor yachts.

Can I rent a boat without a skipper for the day?

Most of our guests prefer skippered boats for day rentals and that is also our recommendation. With a valid licence and enough experience, we can look at bareboat options together on suitable boats.

Which departure points do you offer?

We arrange day trips from Gocek, Fethiye, Bodrum and Marmaris. Gocek and the Twelve Islands is the most loved day trip area thanks to its sheltered bays and short cruising distances.

How far in advance should I book?

For July and August we recommend booking one to two weeks ahead. Outside the peak season it is often possible to find a boat even one day before.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

Your skipper monitors the weather before and during the trip. If conditions are unsuitable the route moves to sheltered bays; if the trip cannot take place at all we arrange a new date or a refund together.

What currency are the prices in, and how can I pay?

Boat owners set prices in Euros; skippered day boats sit in the 300 to 700 Euro band, motor yachts in the 800 to 2,500 Euro band. If you prefer another currency, we confirm the equivalent in writing at the day's exchange rate, so no surprise difference appears later.

Is the price per person or per boat?

On a private day rental the price is per boat, reserved exclusively for your group. Whether you are six or ten people, the fee stays the same within the licensed capacity. Per-person pricing only applies to shared group tours; every boat on this page is a private rental.

Can we bring our own food and drinks on board?

On most boats you can bring your own provisions and drinks; the fridge and cool box are yours to use. Some boats include lunch, and a barbecue or catering service can be added on request. We confirm each boat's rule in writing before booking.

Do you organise birthdays or marriage proposals on board?

Yes. We arrange decoration, cake, flowers and a photographer on request. For proposals we plan only with the person making the booking so the surprise stays safe; the skipper and crew are briefed into the programme.

Is a day boat trip safe with children?

Yes. Commercial boats are inspected and carry life jackets in every size. For families we suggest short routes with plenty of swim time in shallow, calm bays. Tell us the children's ages when booking and the right size life jackets will be ready on board.

Can guests who cannot swim join the trip?

Of course. The deck and shaded areas are comfortable for guests who stay on board. Those who want to get in the water can enjoy the sea with a life jacket, close to the ladder and under the skipper's watch. Flotation aids are available on most boats.

What should we wear and bring on a day trip?

Swimwear, a towel, high factor sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses are the essentials. On deck you wear soft-soled, non-marking shoes; heels are not suitable. A light cardigan for the evening breeze and a waterproof phone pouch help too.

Do you run sunset trips?

Yes. Shorter programmes depart in the afternoon and meet the sunset at sea, a favourite for proposals, anniversaries and photo shoots. Being shorter than a full day, the price is usually lower; just send your date and group size.
