Cancellation & Refund Policy

The terms below govern cancellations and refunds for yacht and gulet charter bookings made through Göcek Yachting. Please read this policy carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Scope

This policy applies to daily, weekly and bespoke blue voyage bookings marketed and/or arranged by Göcek Yachting (Göcek Yatçılık Tur. Tic. Ltd. Şti.). Where the individual charter agreement signed with a yacht owner or operator contains different terms, the charter agreement shall prevail unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Payment & Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once the agreed deposit (typically 50% of the total charter fee) is received by Göcek Yachting. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the charter start date. Göcek Yachting reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit in the event of late payment.

If the customer cancels the booking before the charter start date, the following fees apply:

60 - 89 days before25% of the total charter fee is retained.

The above tiers are standard defaults. Special routes, public holidays or peak-season charters may be subject to different terms in the signed charter agreement, which will then prevail.

4. Cancellations by Göcek Yachting or the Yacht Owner

If the yacht cannot be provided due to technical issues, flag-state advisories, operator-side disruptions or unforeseen force majeure, Göcek Yachting will first offer an equivalent or upgraded alternative yacht. If the customer declines the alternative, all amounts paid (deposit + balance) will be refunded in full within 14 business days. In such cases Göcek Yachting's liability is limited to the refund of amounts paid; third-party costs such as flights or transfers are not covered.

5. Weather & Safety

A captain's decision to shorten the route or remain in port for safety reasons does not create a right to cancel or obtain a refund. If the port authority or meteorological office issues an official warning preventing departure before the charter starts, the parties may mutually agree to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, the amount paid is held as customer credit or refunded to the original payment method.

6. Force Majeure

Events beyond the parties' control — war, epidemic, official restrictions, strikes, natural disasters — are treated as force majeure. In such cases Göcek Yachting offers free rescheduling to the closest available date or 100% credit for a future booking. Where a cash refund is requested, deductions imposed by service providers (marinas, ports, third-party operators) may apply and the remaining balance will be refunded.

7. Booking Modifications

Date changes may be accommodated free of charge or with an adjustment fee depending on yacht availability and seasonal price differences. Changes to guest count, route or add-ons (chef, water sports, transfers) will be re-priced. All modification requests must be submitted in writing (email, WhatsApp).

8. Refund Process

Approved refunds are initiated within 14 business days via the original payment method (credit card, bank transfer). Card refunds may take 5 to 30 days depending on the issuing bank. Transfer fees paid on international wires are not refundable.

9. Late Arrival & No-Show

If the customer does not reach the yacht within 24 hours of the charter start time, the booking is treated as cancelled and no refund is issued. In documented cases of flight delays, the captain may, at their discretion, grant a reasonable waiting period.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising under this policy are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye; the Courts and Enforcement Offices of Fethiye have jurisdiction. Consumer arbitration and TÜRSAB arbitration rights are reserved.
